RGT Logistics

CHALLENGE

RG Transport, the trucking arm of Red Gold, Inc. contacted GlobalMagic to develop an interactive site for their new logistics division, RGT Logistics. The client ordered a site which could dynamically display real-time load availability data for prospective and current clients. RGT Logistics needed a dynamic system where current available loads could be posted on a daily basis and update through a browser-based administration area. Additional dynamic content includes a cutting-edge recruiting module that allows RGT’s human resources department to accept applications from drivers who built in criteria and an online drug/alcohol and background check.

INSIGHT

RGT Logistics, RG Transport, and Red Gold, Inc share common ownership. A privately owned business since 1942, Brian Reichart, Owner and CEO, and the 1,400 employees have become industry leaders in logistics, transportation and food manufacturing. Because of a company-wide focus on quality and efficiency, their business continues to prosper. Their owner and management recognize that only the best companies succeed in a highly competitive transportation industry. They re-invest, in their employees through continued education, training, and provide their employees with the best equipment and technology to get the job done right.

e-STRATEGY

GlobalMagic team members met with staff of Red Gold and RGT Logistics to formulate the plan that would fulfill the online requirements of the newly formed company. Site architecture was developed. GlobalMagic consulted with RGT on best methods to deliver current processes and offered suggestions for automating and improving those processes.

SOLUTION

The finalized site far surpassed the expectations of the RGT Logistics team. It has proven to be attractive as well as  informational and  functional for visitors and easy to update for RGT’s web team. Logistics information is posted and updated daily by non-technical staff members. Emails are also sent through the site on a daily basis with the same load availability information to companies and individuals that made the request through an online registration.
