AT&T STOPS TAKING IPHONE ORDERS
After Apple and AT&T took more than 600,000 orders for the new iPhone 4s in one day, AT&T stopped taking orders, saying it had to focus on fulfilling orders already received. An AT&T spokeperson said pre-order sales for the iPhone 4 were 10 times higher than on the first day of the iPhone 3GS was available for ordering in June 2009. At midday Wednesday (June 16), Apple was accepting orders only for black models and would only guarantee shipment by July 2. The white model was unavailable for pre-order.
